Microbial Physiology and Biochemistry Research - Faculty Members
Microorganisms constitute the major source of biological diversity on earth, not only due to their metabolic diversity but also to their extraordinary capacity to adapt to rapidly changing environmental conditions.

Because of their diversity and adaptability, microorganisms constitute ideally subjects for studying basic life processes and bioremediation. Graduate Group research investigates many fundamental and applied areas, from regulatory features of metabolic pathways to the ecological assessment and manipulation of microbes that help degrade toxic materials.
