Primrose Boynton, P.P.O.

Primrose, the polyporologist (PPO), worked in the Bruns Lab as an undergraduate from September 2001 until December 2002. Although she graduated with a BS in Genetics and Plant Biology, she continued to work in the Bruns Lab on Chroogomphus vinicolor. C. vinicolor grows alongside bishop pine at Point Reyes. Chroogomphus is thought to parasitize these trees' mycorrhizal symbionts. Primrose investigated the nature of this relationship and its occurence in Point Reyes.

Primose joined the peace corps and left for Togo in June of 2003. Primrose returned from Togo in August of 2005 and rejoined the Bruns lab in October 2005. Primrose once again left the Bruns lab at the end of August 2006 and is currently working on her PhD at Harvard University, in Anne Pringle's lab.
