Enrico joined the Bruns Lab in June of 1995. Enrico developed sequence-based markers to study the clonal structure and reproductive biology of the ectomycorrhizal fungus Suillus pungens in a Pinus muricata forest. Enrico's research eventually lead to the publication of a paper entitled "A large and rapidly spreading genet of the ectomycorrhizal fungus Suillus pungens and its ecological implications".
After leaving the Bruns lab, Enrico worked as a post doc in Tom Gordon's lab at the University of California in Davis.
Enrico is currently an Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology at the Ohio State University.
